A Temporary & Permanent issue. How the job market is changing in Scotland
Figures released this week indicate that Permanent vacancies in Scotland are at a 2 year low. On the flip side this has lead to an increase in Temporary and Contract Recruitment throughout Central Scotland. Temporary and Contract vacancies are generally viewed as less secure and offering less future potential for career development as permanent vacancies. Brian Byrne talked to Real Radio about the way things are changing and why a temporary position offers many things to be excited about.

The jobs market in Scotland is improving say’s a recent survey.
Good news for those looking for a new job. A recently published survey by the Bank of Scotland has highlighted that demand for permanent and temporary staff is rising in Scotland. A separate study also asked 100 recruitment consultants their opinion on recruitment levels. The data from each study agreed, showing clearly that demand by employers in Scotland is rising, a trend not common across the UK as a whole.
